Thinking about …
Der andere Weg / The other way
Jochen Mariss
Je stiller wir sind, umso mehr hören wir.
Je langsamer wir leben, umso mehr Zeit haben wir.
Je mehr Liebe wir verschenken, umso reicher ist unser Herz.
The more quietly we are, the more we hear.
The more slowly we live, the more time we have.
The more love we give away, the more richly is our heart.
Just now we get overwhelmed by sounds and news and so called "music". In normal life there’s no place nor space to enjoy silence (except in churches and graveyards). But if our surrounding is quiet we can hear bees and birds and frogs and murmuring waters and whispering winds. And the beat of our heart and the flowing of our blood and the breath of the people living with and beside us.
Always we have to hurry up. "Run! Run! Faster! Faster!" In this hectic kind of living we cannot save time. But we need time to catch moments an to store them into our memories. It would only need the short time of only one breathing to see the sun, the snails, the butterflies, the mice and the flowers and grass. So if we take such a short break to look around or if we slow down in hurrying around and around we should have many many more moments for living and not only for getting lived.
And, my dear readers, everybody of you knows, you all know that love will return a hundred times if you give it away to the people and to the animals and to the nature (and to yourself). Thus is a law of mankind. Try it and you will get it.
Many, many thanks to Mr. Jochen Mariss for giving me the the ocassion or suggestion to this post.
